I really love this campground. The views are spectacular, watched dolphins cavorting in the water yesterday. Watched a guy cleaning a huge trout. The wifi is fast, my Verizon phone gets a signal. Satellite get a signal. The main thing I like so much is all the campers here are super friendly. You can't walk from one end to the other without getting in multiple conversations. I'd give it a 10 except I had to disconnect my tow vehicle.

The park was okay, easy check in, a lady escorted me to my site. Some interesting residents. I'm really upset that the Coast to Coast rate is 25.00, the regular rate is 28.00! I also have PPA but couldn't use it on the weekend, although they were no where near full.

I would have given this place a 9 except for one problem. The noise. At night I ran my a/c fan on high to drown out the trucks and trains. The people were so nice. The lady who checked me in was lovely and this morning a man, who works there, came over to see if he could help me hook up. I walked the dogs around and everyone was nice. We saw a herd of 15 little deer. The wi-fi worked, and I parked in overflow and got my satellite signal in just fine. I would definitely stay there again.

The $9.00 a night rate was my half price with the senior pass; regular rate is 18.00. This place is worth the 18.00; it's just lovely. The camp hosts couldn't have been nicer. I like the fact that there's a security gate, since I was almost alone there on Sunday night. There is no swimming beach; the other COE campground has a swim beach. My site backed up to the lake and had no trees blocking the satellite. My Verizon phone got me online with my laptop. I saw a whole herd of little deer and a Jack Rabbit in the campground. I loved it there; if I didn't have to keep going I would have stayed the full two weeks.

I can't find anything wrong with this campground. The lady in the office was lovely. The site was great, long and wide. The wifi was fast. My rooftop satellite got a signal. The other campers were friendly. There were three individual little dog runs, where they could be loose and play which is much appreciated. The place was clean, mowed, just a really great place. If I wanted to spend a month or more I would be happy here.

This could be a great park. The lady who runs it is as nice as anyone I've met in 10 years of full timing. The sites are large; it's easy on and off the freeway if you understand how I-35 works. The wifi never worked for me; it was intermittent but not an issue since I have Verizon internet. The main thing was the farmer next door sets off what sounds like a cannon every 1/2 hour or so this time of year. You can't really hear it inside with the a/c on, but outside walking the dogs it was heart clenching. No trees blocking the satellite. The rate was Passport America, and frankly I think they should allow more than one night to compensate for the cannon. I don't think it's a 25.00 a night park with that noise.

The previous horrible review was 2 years ago. This campground is under new ownership and they are working hard to make it nice. I asked for an open site for my roof top satellite and they were very accommodating. My Verizon phone worked to get on line with a strong EVDO signal. It's right along 98, so not searching for it. No road noise. There were quite a few full time residents, but all were very nice, quiet and respectful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

The rate was actually 12.50, Passport America rate. The campground looks a little rough, many trailers belong to full time residents and there's a single wide park behind. When I arrived a few little dogs were running around loose, but I never was bothered by them when walking my dogs. I spoke to some residents and they were all quite nice, many seem down on their luck. Verizon worked fine to get online and I got a satellite signal. It's easy on and off 77, but I didn't notice any traffic noise.

This is the perfect campground. From the lovely people in the office, to the excellent Wi-Fi, the spacious sites.... it's near everything. Easy to get to Dallas or Ft. Worth. Super Target around the corner. If I could change anything it would be more room for dog walking, but other than that it's a great place to stay!

This campground is at the intersection of I-35 and route 60. It's no frills. The lady who owns it is very nice. The people live there and their three big dogs have the run of the place so watch where you step. That said, the dogs were friendly and I had no problems with them when walking my three big dogs (I do pick up). There's a Cemex truck stop next door. I got a Wi-Fi signal from the motel across the street. The campground doesn't offer it. It's mostly full time residents, the first row closest to the truck stop had the only available sites, all pull thrus, and I don't think those sites had any sewers. I would definitely stay here again if traveling I-35.

This is very nice, the staff was lovely on check in. A nice man brought me to my site. I like the no frills aspect, no pool no playground. The Wi-Fi is strong. It's within a mile of the little town, but tucked away in a very quiet area. The laundry is spotless and very inexpensive. If I could change anything I would have them fence in part of the huge unused grass area so we could let our dogs run and get some exercise.

This is a lovely campground run by really nice people. It's mostly wooded but I found a break in the trees for my satellite. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi only reaches the rigs parked closest to the office, but my Verizon cellphone worked fine to get online. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the Ames area.

I really liked this park, it's right on the river across from the casino riverboat. The riverfront sites are just W/E but that was fine. I went to stay for 2 days and ended up there for a week. The gals in the office were wonderful. Lots of nice campers, many seasonal. I didn't enjoy it so much on the weekend though, it was packed and it seemed everyone who was there in a camper had lots of friends come for the day/evening. Kids running around screaming on the weekend too... it just was much more pleasant during the week. Good satellite signal and Verizon for internet. The Wi-Fi was very spotty.

The people who work there are very nice. The place is enormous, I never even saw all of it. Lots of kids whizzing around on bicycles. Lots of geese and ducks at the lake, lots of poop where they hang out. The Coast to Coast sites are open so no problem getting satellite. Wi-Fi was spotty. There's a Super Target just down the street which is handy, also a Home Depot. I will stay there again.

I read the previous review and I saw no dogs running loose, no dogs off leash and nobody not picking up after their dogs. This place is great. Full hookups at every site, excellent Wi-Fi reception, cheaper rates during the week. An RV service center next door. Shuttles to the casino so you don't have to drive over and walk from the parking lot. Very nice people in the office. Security. I could spend a summer here happily.

This is a very old campground, in excellent repair. The problem is, it was apparently built when cars were pulling canned ham size trailers. You really need to be able to thread a needle backing into one of their sites. Not only are the sites very narrow but the roads leave too little swing room for the truck. That said, it's in a great location near Minocqua, it's dog friendly and my Verizon phone got online. I was not able to get satellite because of the trees. There were a very few sites, pull throughs that might have gotten a signal. If you have a big rig, I suggest you make a reservation and get a pull through anyway. The employees were all lovely.

I loved this campground. It's lake front, my Verizon phone worked well (I got online with it) and my satellite TV worked. The spaces are very large, no crowding. It's dog friendly too. I could spend a summer here, it was really nice. I only gave it a 9 because you need to use the water in your tank as there are no water hook ups. There is an artesian well, where you can fill up jugs, for drinking, and it's wonderful water. There are seasonal campers and transients, all very nice. I highly recommend staying here. It has a good proximity to Bayfield, and the Madeline Island ferry.

I walked into the office and said I have Passport America... the wife took my card and the husband snarled that he was going to drop PA. I asked why and he proceeded to whine and gripe about all the PA members whining and griping to him. He said he didn't make any money off them. I asked why not since I was paying him 15.00 and would probably use $1.00 worth of electric. (I didn't need heat or air) The wife then asked me for 18.00. I asked if they raised their prices because it says 15.00 in the book she said the extra is for electricity. I said oh, it says the extra is only for heat and air. She grabbed a page she printed out and I was right... she charged me the 18.00 anyway. I never lost my temper, never even argued... but the guy was funny telling me that people were a pain... he was the pain. I should have just left but it was rainy and I just wanted to settle in someplace. I drove around back... it's not worth any more than 18.00 without the discount. It's just parking and hook ups, not really a campground at all. It is convenient to a grocery store, laundromat & downtown though. In 10 years of fulltiming, this experience was a first!

I stay here twice a year, on my way north and back to Florida. It's a really nice big park, lots of room to walk the dogs. The Wi-Fi is great... lots of choices where to park. Out in the open or in trees. I will continue to stay there.

I stay here every year, just an overnight. I like the manager, it's dog friendly and I feel safe. It's not fancy, but it is convenient. There was a bit of a problem with the power but the manager called an electrician immediately and the guy in a 2 a/c motorhome admitted to running both a/cs on 30 amp when 50 amp was available (???) So, not the park's fault. It was fixed very quickly.

I think this is one of the nicest parks anywhere. It's always neat and clean, I stayed here last year too, and the people are very nice. If I lived in Atlanta I would leave my trailer here and use it as my weekend getaway.

I was exhausted when I pulled in here. The lady at the desk was nice, and accommodated my request for an open site so my rooftop satellite would get a signal. A nice man led me to the site, and offered to help me level the trailer. I declined. It's not fancy, but as a woman traveling alone I had no qualms about being here and would stay here again in a New York minute.

I just spent a week here. The work camper "host" was very accomodating helping me find a site where trees didn't block my rooftop satellite. They have a strange reservation system, where people reserve sites on line instead of giving them a site when they arrive dependent on their needs. I arrived on a Monday for a week, and couldn't have an open site because someone had booked it on line for the following Saturday night. Fortunately someone canceled another site and I got it. A better site so I was happy. Everyone was very nice. The lake is beautiful, the fish were jumping and some were huge. I would definitely stay there again.

I don't understand why I'm the first to review this park. It's almost 500 acres, has a huge lake, golf, swimming, boating, fishing. It's simply wonderful. From the lovely employees at the gatehouse, to security, and the other campers. It's so large many campers have golf carts to get around. One night "Elvis" was there and gave a show. There's not much to do around town, not even a super Walmart but the campground has so much to do there's no need to leave.

This is a beautiful campground. Every site is very private. The people in the office were very nice. I will definitely stay here again. No WiFi but an broadband EVDO signal on my Rev A. Verizon phone.

The road in and out is terrible, really rocked the rig. It's Passport America which is appreciated. Many camp sites are on a hill, it took 4 Lynx Levelers under each of the two tires on the low side to make the trailer level. The sites are very tight. The lake is nice saw some people fishing. I debated staying two nights, but left after one.

Gorgeous campground. Flat concrete sites, lovely people working the office. Dog friendly. Wi-fi. No trees blocking my satellite dish. Great midway location. Camping on the ocean or the sound where the sunsets are breathtaking. The only thing that I hated was all the "sticker paws" those nasty sand spurs that stick into dogs' feet. I've stayed here before and will stay here again I hope.

The owners of this Passport America park are lovely. I came for one night and decided to stay for two more but didn't have cash. No problem, I went out for the day and came back with it. The wifi is strong. There is good cell and satellite TV reception. The sites are large and level. It's not a destination resort, but certainly a good place to stop for a few days. There are some permanents here, but it's not scummy. The owners have been working hard for three years to make it nice, and they have succeeded. I would stay here again.

The owners of this Passport America park are very nice, and quick to respond to a problem. My only problem was I needed a hammer to open my truck cap handle which jammed. One reason I really like this park is they have a fenced area where dogs can run and play, off leash, while I sit on a comfortable bench. I also really enjoy having Wi-Fi and seek out parks that offer it. I've stayed there before and I'll stay again. It is near I-10 but with the a/c running I couldn't hear any traffic noise.

I almost always stop here on my way north. The manager is very nice, it's easy on and off and has free Wi-Fi. It's pet friendly which is important to me.

I really loved this campground. The lakes were beautiful and I was backed right up lakeside. It's a beautiful place and the manager was very nice and obviously interested in making sure you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately the wifi was down, a lightning hit, but it may be repaired by now. Excellent cellphone service. This is a beautiful campground I can't imagine anyone not liking it.

I really like Amy's. The lady who owns it is lovely. The office is messy but so what? I stay in my trailer not the office. The owner always makes sure I have an open spot for my satellite dish to get a signal. It's noisy near the road.

This is the most expensive campground I've ever stayed in at 38.00 a night. The employees were all extra nice. The spaces were very close together. I wouldn't stay there again because of the price.
